On the last day of the Standard Chartered Bank FIH Junior Men's World Cup here in Johor Bahru, Germany defeated the Netherlands to take the title while Australia defeated New Zealand to claim the bronze medal.

India turned 9th with a convincing 4:0-win over Poland. Singapore celebrated their first victory today. The beat the USA 3:1 and turn 19th. Japan beat Egypt 2:1 for rank 13.

On the second but last day of the Standard Chartered Bank FIH Junior Men's World Cup, Belgium benefitted from Faizal Saari's suspension and defeated the Malaysian hosts 3:2, while Chile defeated Russia.

On the first day of classification matches, the Netherlands reached the finals with a win over New Zealand, while Pakistan downed Argentina for 5th place and South Africa pushed their way past England.

Germany beat Australia in extra-time and made it into the final. Australia play the Bronze Medal match. Spain and Korea battled for the ranks 7 to 8 which Korea won with a goal two minutes before the final whistle.

Today is the day of the semi-finals. Pool E winner Netherlands play New Zealand (second of Pool F) at 8.00pm in Singapore. The other semi-final between Pool F winner Australia and Germany (second of Pool E) takes place at 8.00pm in Johor Bahru.
